In 1992 before Viacom brought Kings Enterainment Company and renamed it Paramount Parks, a Vortex landed at Carowinds. With only standing room left Vortex hurlers you down a 91 foot drop and into a huge loop. Vortex has only been repainted one time, which was in 2004 when it was repainted to the same paint it has always had. Which is black supports, red spine and ribs, with white or grey rails.
