Afterburn replaced the Wild Bull, an old older style ride flat that I miss very much. It is the Carolina's only inverted coaster which means you ride under the track with your feet dangling, there is no floor once you leave the station. Afterburn opened as Top Gun:The Jet Coaster in 1999, renamed in 2008.
