As one of the orginal attractions at Carowinds, the Carolina Goldrusher opened in 1973 in the Frontier Outpost area which is now Carolina Boardwalk. The trains were origanlly gold but were soon painted different colors, the colors are green, red, blue, and yellow. The yellow train hasn't been seen in a long time. The Goldrusher used to have red rust track but was painted green in 2004.
