    Southern Star opened in 1986 under the name "Frenzoid" which means(roughly) "Crazy Machine". The Frenzoid was removed after the 2005 season for the 2006 Boomerang Bay expansion, it remained in storage behind Drop Zone for the 2006 season. New for 2007, the Frenzoid returns as "Southern Star".
