The Phantom Flyers opened at Carowinds in 2005, However, it was relocated from Kings Island where it was one of the park's orginal rides. But the ride's roots go back even deeper, it was built in 1935 by Bisch-Rocco for Coney Island Amusement Park located in Ohio. Coney Island was sold in 1971, and the "Scooters" were moved to Kings Island in 1972.
