    Powerful leftovers
In 1995, a play structure was installed where the Flying Dutchman's Revenge is now, when the Power Station was removed it was first an eating area then the Sea-Storm ride was placed on it. However the brick walls that lined the area can still be seen from the que.
    The Monorail
In June 1973, the Monorail opened infront of the location that now holds the Vortex. The monorail was removed after the 1994 season for the remodeling of the Showplace area. The footer shown in the photo is located next to the first drop of Vortex, where the monorail crossed over Vortex, and then under. The footer still has a piece of the support in it.
If you have seen a piece of Carowinds History, tell us where you saw it and what it is. We will add it here, and try to get a photo of it.
