2000
Nickelodeon Flying Super Saturator opens where Blackbeard's Revenge was. The Saturator is a inverted interactive water coaster. A must ride in the morning attraction. Also this is the first year that the park's halloween haunt was open. SCarowinds starts scaring the park's night time guest every october, and this event grows year after year.

2001
Scooby-Doo's Haunted Mansion dark ride opens along with Pipeline Peak in the WaterWorks.

2002
The Blue Ridge area is rethemed to Carolina Boardwalk and Ricochet opens. Ricochet is wild mouse rollercoaster.

2004
BORG Assimilator opens on the island that the Carolina Sternwheeler used to go around. The "new" coaster is a used coaster from Great America called Stealth. The Carolina Sternwheeler paddlewheel boat ride is removed after 31 years of operation. The park finally starts planting flowers again, and the old Cinema 180 dome is torn down.
